Preparing for DataViz: What It Takes to Manage and Analyze Your Data
When it comes to data, data visualization (aka. dataviz) is the darling that gets all the attention. But in many ways, dataviz is just the visible tip of an iceberg of data work.
In order to present meaningful insight from data — whether in health, education, poverty, or any other important issue – nonprofits need to first derive meaningful insight by managing and analyzing their data.
The reality is that many researchers and policy analysts rely on outdated approaches to do this, such as spreadsheets, shared drives, and internal databases of varying sophistication. The great news is that new approaches and affordable tools are changing how nonprofits can manage and analyze data.
In this webinar, we explore how these approaches can help you to:
- Benefit from data storage advances that make large up-front investments a thing of the past
- Make use of a new breed of tools that aggregate large amounts of data from multiple sources
- Learn how to model, maintain, slice and dice data to gain insights to support your goals
- And learn how these tools can help make your ongoing data visualization work more efficient
By the end of this session, you’ll not only walk away with a few great ideas for slick, dataviz experiences for your audience, but you’ll also be armed with the knowledge and confidence that there are a number of ways for you to get powerful insights from data that help you to create impact in new and important ways.
