SEO Checklist for Nonprofits

Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You’ve heard of it, you know a little bit about what it can do, but you haven’t had a chance to really spend any more time on it than that. Sound familiar?

Between updating your website’s content, organizing events, and keeping up with your social media channels, making time for SEO can often feel like a “nice-to-have”. But if there is one digital communications message you should be reminding yourself this year, it’s this one: SEO matters.

You may have a beautiful new website, but if your SEO isn’t optimized, your target audience isn’t going to find you. 91.5% of web searches don’t go past the first page of results. If your organization is going to be a subject-matter expert in its field, your content needs to be showing up on that first page.

To help manage the SEO workload, we’ve developed our 2018 SEO Checklist for Nonprofits. Download, print, and slap this sucker up on the wall beside your screen. When developing new content (blog posts, landing pages, etc.), run down the Checklist to make sure that you’re following best SEO practices. It’s a simple as that!
