Chris leads Forum One's consulting practice in designing and implementing innovative Internet strategies to help organizations make an impact on important global problems.

Chris is a regular speaker and trainer on online strategic communications for policy-focused organizations, the use of blogs and other online collaborative tools, and designing effective web organizations. Chris blogs about online strategy on Forum One’s "Influence" blog, and also shares his insights on the internet and more in 140 character snippets on Twitter.

Chris serves as a Senior Strategy Advisor for many clients, guiding senior management teams in the development of strategic plans, defining: online business objectives, target audiences, online metrics of success, functional and technical requirements, and use of "web 2.0" online interactivity and collaboration.

Chris has advised clients from a range of policy sectors over the past ten years, including: the World Bank / PovertyNet, the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) / ReliefWeb, the Global Village Energy Program (GVEP), the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Council of La Raza, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Education Reform Initiative in Qatar, USDA's Economic Research Service, the National Alliance to End Homelessness, and others.

Chris brings to his consulting work a deep understanding of the world of policy analysts and program managers, international development, and environmental policy. Chris worked in international development for four years in rural Nepal, as a water supply and sanitation for UNICEF, CARE, the Nepalese Government and the U.S. Peace Corps. He has also worked for six years as an environmental policy analyst at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget focusing on air quality and air pollution issues. In that role he routinely convened and consulted on policy decisions with managers and analysts across more than a half-dozen government agencies.

Chris has a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
