I had a chance to catch up with Tim Bonnemann of Intellitics.com. During our conversation, he mentioned how much of the recent focus of "open government" has been on transparency and open data, and he sees less attention to online consultations and online participation. And some of the high-profile consultation experiments that have been tried have not gone so well. For example, see "How the Open Government Dialogue got slimed [7]."
Tim's company is developing a new web application called Zilino [8], which will enable online consultations for collaborative problem-solving and decision-making. Tim also spoke at a session at SXSWi on "Designing Successful Online Consultations [9]."
Tim Bonnemann of Intellitics.com shares his thoughts on trends in open government and online participation during the South By Southwest Interactive conference.
