The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has launched a substantially improved site at CovertheUninsured.org to highlight the fact that too many Americans are living without health insurance and demand solutions from our nation’s leaders.
The site’s Hear the Stories section illuminates stories from a few of the 46 million Americans who experience the negative consequences of being uninsured.
The site provides opportunities to get involved and resources for reformers and health care professionals. It includes tools for publicizing community activities such as health fairs and enrollment events. The site allows event planners to add their own events to the site and plot the locations on a Google Map.
The site provides a shopping cart interface for ordering materials including posters, bookmarks and flyers in English and Spanish.
Journalists and others will find state-by-state information about the scope of the problem, as well as the latest research and news about the health reform moment.
Forum One Communications helped the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation plan, design, and develop the new site.
The site uses the Drupal open source content management system and provides new opportunities for users to share and interact. The solution features sophisticated user management and back-end sharing of content to and from the family of sites run by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
