News ReleasePolicyCommons.org Beta Announced at Politics Online ConferenceMarch 16, 2007 Forum One launched the beta version of www.PolicyCommons.org in time to announce it at the 2007 Politics Online Conference in Washington, D.C. PolicyCommons.org is focused on explaining and tracking the evolution of participatory policy-making dubbed the "policy commons". The 2007 Politics Online Conference featured a panel, sponsored by Forum One, entitled "The Policy Commons: Democracy When the Owners Take Control". The panel included Rick Hinton from Red Hill Group LLC, Conor Kenny from the Center for Media and Democracy, Greg Schnippel from Ashoka, and Dave Witzel from Forum One. It was moderated by Alan Rosenblatt of the Internet Advocacy Center. Kenny has made available links to the materials he covered in the panel at Congresspedia. Witzel has provide his PowerPoint file.
