The blog, in both Arabic and English, features commentaries by SEC experts, other columnists and education specialists, as well as public responses on their comments. The blog has covered topics to date including public involvement in education, school report cards, and curriculum standards. The goal of the "Education for a New Era" initiative, started in 2002 by decree of the Emir, is to build a modern, world-class school system to provide Qatari children with a high quality education comparable to that offered in the best schools around the globe.
