Digital Doha Summit Brings Together Tech Leaders in Qatar
On June 12, Forum One Communications hosted the first ever Digital Doha Summit in Qatar. The event generated substantial buzz in Doha, with a preview story on the front page of a leading newspaper the Qatar Tribune and a blog post from Digital Qatar. The speakers at the event shared the latest real-world examples of innovation in website usability, mobile development, and open source.
And while the Summit was a new and exciting endeavor for our team, Forum One Communications has been working in Qatar since 2003, partnering with organizations including the Supreme Education Council and the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) on the design and management of websites, mobile sites, and social media. We're also starting up some new projects this year as part of our expanding portfolio in the country.
The Digital Doha Summit, held at the W Doha hotel, highlighted the impact of some notable online trends in the region. Attendees, experts and featured speakers from ictQATAR, MADA, Al Jazeera Network, N2V Labs, Silatech, Reach Out to Asia, Al Jazeera, IREX, Think Media Labs and many more came out to discuss and network with each other about the innovations and challenges facing the MENA (Middle East/North Africa) tech world.

Lots of good tips here, thanks. I'd also like to express my appreciation to Forum One for reaching out and working with the Arabic IT community and helping them reach out to more of the Arab world.
